SCAFFOLDING:This type of scaffold is very usefull when constructing a Mansurd Roof, and is the most expensive because the roof is completly covered with a tin hat, aswell as the sides.
This type of scaffold can cost between £2,000 - £3,000 Most of all the other types of Loft Conversions do not need this type of shelter,and is far more cost effective. This would mean that we would cover the roof with a tarpurline sheet mainly at the begining of the project.
This type of scaffold can cost between £800- £1,500 CARPENTRY:The carpentry work for a loft conversion is around 70% of the work involved, only the best of good craftsmen Carpenters should be used for quality loft conversions, for first fix, and for second fix.
Two good Carpenters, and a labourer, will cost around: £8,000 - £12,000 for a 6 -7 weeks loft conversion. 2nd FIX WOODWORK ROOFING:The majority of roofing that is done on a loft conversion is the dormer that is on top of the dormer, and the side cheeks. The top will usually consist of : 3 layers of roofing felt fibre base, which is saturated and then coated with bitumen and surfaced with either sand or a slate finish. Used in a single, two-layer or three-layer application. The side cheeks back, and front are finished with matching tyles.

PLUMBING:We must remember that it dose get rather warm in a loft conversion due to the insulation, and remember that heat rises so lets say one radiator in each room would be just right, and perhaps a towel rail in the bathroom.
A radiator would cost around: £300 to supply and fit, and a towel rail: £200 supply and fit, toilet, shower tray, vanity units, £650 fit ONLY Macerator if needed: £650 supply and fit.
